Cardiac Rehabilitation - Vernon - Interior Health

A program to help individuals adopt a heart healthy lifestyle following heart conditions or surgery.
A Cardiac Rehabilitation Program that can help individuals to get better after a heart attack, heart surgery or other heart conditions. These programs focus on helping individuals learn about and achieve a heart healthy lifestyle.

VJH cardiac rehab is a referral-based program of 8-weeks duration consisting of supervised exercise and education. The program’s primary goal is to reduce participants’ risk of pulmonary exacerbation or subsequent cardiac events. An assessment is completed prior to enrolment and exercise sessions are held twice weekly at Vernon Jubilee Hospital. Additional off-site programs are available at the Vernon Wesbild Centre. The educational component includes sessions on cardiac anatomy/physiology, risk-factors, exercise, nutrition and medications.​

There are several clinics that provide cardiac rehabilitation services around Interior Health. Choose the clinic location closest to you for more information. You can also access virtual education sessions (through platforms like Zoom and Webex).
